The Road to Recovery

This year I am intentionally journeying on the road to recovery to move into more of who I am and stop living into others’ expectations. I am tired of comparing and consuming. I am a collector of information, which isn’t all bad, but at some point, I have to leave the world of consuming and move into the world of creating, living, being, and doing; moving out of my head and into my body.

My whole life I’ve lived in my head only half alive. One of the ways I’ve seen this play out is with books. I am a book junkie. I collect them and consume knowledge but a lot of times it doesn’t get put into practice. I probably read 15 books this past year and that’s a lot for me with a toddler in hand and working part-time. On top of that, I specifically have a cookbook obsession, but never end up getting around to making the recipes, so this year I am going to attempt to get my hands dirty - stop being books and put the ones I have to good use.

Here is my current reading list for the year (which often changes as life happens) and my current cookbooks I am going to attempt to work my way through and apply this year.
